WE ACCEPT MAJOR INSURANCES

OFFICE POLICIES

These office policies may be subject to change without notice

APPOINTMENTS: We offer telehealth to all new and established patients; per state law, patients need one in-office visit annually. We have immediate openings for new patients and accept commercial and Medicare plans; we also have self-pay rates. To schedule an appointment contact us at 512-595-7475 or select the new patient's tab. It will direct you to sign up, and a staff member will call you within 24-48 hours.

Cancellation Policy: To avoid issues with collecting fees after services, which has become an issue, our office policy is to collect all payments before the visit; once a patient makes payment, we will send an appointment link will be sent out via text or email. The front desk will send invoices to patients one to two days before the visit; any appointments scheduled for Monday will receive invoices on Friday.

All patients must call to cancel or reschedule appointments the day before to avoid a $45 fee, NO show fees are $100 and must be paid prior to next visit. This policy ensures the efficient use of our resources. New Patient Appointment: We will send two emails, one for the invite patient portal and another for new patient paperwork. Patients must complete Paperwork two days before their appointment to avoid cancellation. Patient Insurance must be provided two days before the appointment via text at 512-595-7475 or email admin@newvisionpsychiatry.com to ensure we obtain accurate information.

Any services not covered by insurance will fall under self-pay.

EMAIL/PHONE CALL RESPONSE:

It is better to send all questions or medication refills on the patient portal so all staff can manage for a quicker response. Please allow up to 24 hours for us to respond to your emails or portal messages, due to a high volume of messages and calls. You may contact the office by phone, text, or email to make, reschedule, or cancel an APPOINTMENT.

PRESCRIPTION REFILLS:

Please allow two business days to process these requests, including Schedule II medications (Adderall, Vyvanse, etc.) It is important to note that these are not life-saving medications, and “running out of stimulants” does not constitute a medical emergency. Early refills are not permitted. Patients are to call us when they have at least two to three days’ worth of medications on hand. Provider will not make Medication changes will not be made, and you will need to make an appointment to discuss them with your Provider. Please do not discontinue medications without speaking to your Provider, as your health and safety are important to us.

  • Early refills will be denied for medications taken more than prescribed. If you would like to discuss a change in medication, please call the office to schedule an appointment.

  • Texas law requires patients to be under medical supervision when taking controlled medication. If you miss your prior appointment (s), you may be required to see your Provider before your medication is refilled. Patients are required to see their Provider every 90 days for medication refills.

  • Our office does not refill medications after hours or during weekends/holidays.

FMLA AND DISABILITY FORMS:

We do not fill out FMLA/STD paperwork for new patients. To qualify you must be an established patient for 3 months. A provider can't know the circumstances that cause a patient to take leave from work. It is your responsibility to work with your employer (likely through Human Resources) to obtain the necessary paperwork for your employer to provide your disability pay. (6 months minimum & up to the discretion of the provider) An appointment is required to gather information specific to the form. A $75 fee is typical for each form submitted. This payment is required prior to submission. The requested paperwork takes one week to process. We will not rush any documentation. Our goal is to help our patients on leave and disability improve their emotional health and regain their functioning and work status as soon as possible; this may include recommendations for DBT/IOP.

Optional Financing Plans

We now offer payment plan options through Tuapay, with a minimum of $500 to $2500 financing loan to cover your visits up to a year. Monthly installments start as low as $20 a month. Our front desk can send you the link to see if you qualify.
